Impact Politics is based in Broward County, Florida, where nearly 500,000 people voted for Barack Obama. The margin of victory in Broward over McCain exceeded the statewide margin of victory by roughly 18,000 votes.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

Impact Politics, LLC was formed in January, 2007 by Brian Franklin, an experienced marketing consultant and creative director who had guided strategy and/or written advertising for over a hundred corporate and non-profit clients.

Since its inception - we've served a multitude of roles for campaigns across the nation, and even internationally. For some of our clients, we serve as a full service communications firm - guiding messaging strategy and implementation across every outreach medium. Where there are already established teams, we're often brought in to serve a designated hitter role - providing new media strategy and creative in some cases, and rapid response writing, scripts, or design oriented services in others.

In a few short years, Impact Politics has been called in to consult on or provide creative for congressional campaigns, gubanatorial campaigns, large advocacy programs, state senate and state house campaigns, and county commission campaigns. We've been brought in to advise marketing/branding and fundraising strategy for one of the largest Democratic counties in the country as well as internationally, serving as an advisor to an Australian third party.

Along the way, we've won awards for the effectiveness of our Internet campaigns, Television ads, websites, and joint projects such as a successful telephone town hall coordinated with Stones' Phones.

In this cluttered, fast-moving media environment, with economic issues weighing on donors, campaigns can no longer afford to make such mistakes. With so much competition for voters’ attention, and so many battles won or lost by less than a few thousand votes, nothing can be taken for granted. Proactive, creative, and disciplined campaigns will have a natural advantage.

2010 campaigns and beyond face difficult questions when it comes to the use of technology in their campaigns. How will campaigns use the Internet to its maximum potential? How will they use the tremendous amount of data coming back to them to inform their campaign plan? How much should technology inform the campaign in general? Will they be won or lost by text messaging and increased use of smartphones and mobile broadband? How, given the economic uncertainties, do campaigns begin to make the transition from event-based fundraising paid with checks, to online fundraising via email and virtual events? What can be said in our public events that might truly drive traffic to our contact page? What other technologies will be changing our campaigns in the next cycles?

Our work helps to answer these questions - and provide clear direction to campaigns looking to grab every advantage without being dragged down by overly complex solutions and well-meaning, if unproven technologies.

Impact Politics takes an extremely proactive approach to communications strategy. Whether we’re addressing your entire outreach, from fundraising to the stump, or simply producing an element of it, we’ll make sure you’re getting the most out of your budget. Working together with your team, you may or may not be outspent, but you won’t be out-thought.
