(WASHINGTON, DC) Impact Politics, a political marketing and strategy firm based outside of Fort Lauderdale, FL, received three new "Pollie" awards on Sunday by the bipartisan American Association of Political Consultants. The Pollies are the nation's highest award for excellence in political communications. These are the fifth such awards given to the firm since it was founded two years ago.

Two of the Pollies were awarded for television commercials produced as part of a branding and GOTV campaign for the Broward Democratic Party. The commercials ran throughout Broward County (Florida) and were used as fundraising tools on and offline. They were the first television ads in the history of the party.

Impact Politics' role went beyond the creation of the commercials: The firm assisted the party with creation of a fundraising and marketing strategy that helped underwrite the cost of the commercials, online ads, podcasts, a new website, and the 2007 rebranding of the party from the "Broward County Democratic Executive Committee" to the "Broward Democratic Party".

"With Impact Politics’ help, the Broward Democratic Party raised more money for marketing than ever before, reaching out to voters in ways that few (if any) county parties in the nation have attempted," stated Mitch Ceasar, Chairman of the Broward Democratic Party.

At this year's Pollie ceremony in Washington DC, the firm also received a "Best Telephone Town Hall" Pollie for an entry jointly-submitted with the distinguished voter contact firm, Stone's Phones. The winning Telephone Town Hall was a national call-in event to update supporters of Congressman Wexler's 2008 push for executive branch accountability. Stones Phones and Impact Politics collaborated on the marketing and implementation of the event.

In 2007, Impact Politics won Pollies for "Best Internet/New Media Campaign" for Wexler Wants Hearings Campaign as well as "Best Local Organization Website" for the site it produced for the Broward Democratic Party.

Brian Franklin, the firm's' founder, has recently expanded the firm's clientele internationally: Impact Politics was chosen to help guide the rebuilding and marketing strategy of the Australian Democrats - once the most powerful third party in Australian history. Other current and/or recent clients include Florida Senate Democratic-Leader Designate Nan Rich, State Senator Dave Aronberg, Chris Chiari, Floridians for Accountability, and Broward Mayor Stacy Ritter.
